Greater Austin Dance Theater
Greater Austin Dance Academy is proud to offer the chance for all dancers (who currently take
tap, ballet, and jazz) to enrich their learning experience through an extracurricular dance
company program. These are dancers who want more than a weekly dance class, who love to
perform, and who are constantly looking for a new challenge. These dancers perform in holiday
shows around the city (including the infamous Zilker Trail of Lights), take part in well-known
dance conventions, compete at dance competitions throughout the year, and showcase their
talents through a spring concert! All dancers must be training weekly in ballet, tap, and jazz.

If your child is interested in being a part of Greater Austin Dance Theater, he/she will need to
attend the fall auditions on Saturday, September 13th. 7-9 year olds will report to GADA from
10:00-11:30, and 10+ year olds will report to GADA from 11:30-1:00pm. Auditions will be closed.
Dancers should wear a leotard and tights, have hair secured, and bring all dance shoes.

Greater Austin Dance Theater members will be required to attend weekend rehearsals, as well as
pay monthly dues of $30 per dancer. These will cover rehearsal fees, 2 competition numbers'
entry fees, as well as costume rentals and facility fees for the spring concert. Dancers can either
choose to pay these dues in 7 monthly installments beginning in October, or pay a flat yearly fee
of $200. Rehearsal schedules will be given in advance, as well as posted online. All absences
from rehearsal MUST be given in writing ahead of time.
